Best Project Management Software for IT company

There are lot of factors which IT company needs to track to work eficiently. It’s hard to have all features in one software. Maybe there are some, I don’t know. Maybe there are just some custom systems for some companies, which are not accessible to others. Maybe there are just paid or free web services. I would like to know your knowledge about existing such Project Management Software.
Our company is searching for such software. The only need is not to insert information twice, so it is possible to have 2 or more software, but with common database or access to common information
If there is too much features in quotation just add your best way to management projects in IT company.

I suggest you take a look at http://www.celoxis.com. It does comprehensive project management, time sheets, collaboration (documents, calendar, discussion forums) and workflow. Their workflow component is pretty interesting. it’s an advanced application to track things like issues, bugs, risks, etc. Our productivity has improved significantly and we are able to do a lot of things in time and budget. Their client collaboration is free and our clients love that!
To top it all it is quite reasonably priced.

I went through (and still going) a similar thing. I work for a manufacturing company but we were (in my opinion) in dire need of such software. I’ve evaluated at least a dozen free solutions and so far I’ve settled on redMine: http://www.redmine.org. It’s written in Ruby on Rails, it’s open source and it can do a lot of what you described. I think it’s worth checking out. If you don’t mind payed solutions, I highly recommend JIRA: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/. It costs $4800 but it’s very extensive and has many plugins you can add to it :http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAEXT/Plugin+Search

If you are looking for one of the best “Web-Based” project productivity management software, I would suggest ActiveFocus . It utilizes the latest .NET technologies and is extremely fast for a web app, while providing a lot of functionality.
They have a hosted version or a owned version depending on how many users you are looking to have. It also integrates perfectly with mobile devices such as the IPhone, if you have need to work on the go. Overall it is a great choice.

We use Orem, Utah-based AtTask, Inc.’s on-demand (yes - web-based) PPM solution - @task. It is exactly what your boss is looking for - plus it is very easy to use and NOT expensive. It can be customized. They offer a 30 day free trial … and we have been using it for two years now and it is EXCELLENT. Their web site is http://www.attask.com
Plus they just came out with a new version that integrates MS Outlook, Salesforce, and QuickBooks - AND it is compatible with mobile devices.
