Adobe gives us Xmas presents few days in advance On Adobe Labs, you can find new Flex 3 Beta 3 with AIR beta 3 and new open source product BlazeDS, which is the server-based Java remoting and web messaging technology that enables developers to easily connect to back-end distributed data and push data in real-time to Adobe® Flex™ and Adobe AIR™ applications for more responsive rich Internet application (RIA) experiences. Adobe has also published AMF binary data protocol specification, on which the BlazeDS remoting implementation is based.

Useful Flex tips

I don’t know if you knew these tips, but for me they are useful. On FlexExamples.com there are 2 new posts about converting XML and HTTPService to Object. For XML there is class SimpleXMLDecoder with function decodeXML() and for HTTPService there is property resultFormat=”object” which do stuff for you.

P.S. SimpleXMLEncoder exists as well.
