Difference between Flash player 9.0.16 and 9.0.28

Tuesday, December 5th, 2006

Is it possible to find out what was fixed in flash player since 9.0.16? I got issues, that my flash freeze in 9.0.16 in IE and FF (IE is crashed, FF frozen), but in 9.0.28 it works correctly. I’m using Sandy btw., and it crash only on Win XP Home (till now i can reproduce it only there), on Win XP Pro it works correctly even in 9.0.16.

There is a thread about crashing 9.0.16 in Win XP home with many same issues as I have (
Flash player crash browser thread
), that’s why I have find out, that new version helps. There is 1 opinion, that it can be caused by Movieclip.swapDeths(); which Sandy uses a lot (i think 3d engine must use it :), but i’ve done test for swap depths of 100 movieclips on onEnterFrame, and it works correctly, so it seems, problem is somewhere else, but where, i have no clue…

That’s why I’m asking if it is possibly to find out what was fixed in Flash player since 9.0.16

Thanks for you help
Franto

Is this the type of info you’re seeking?

It sounds like your project found problems, on at least one machine, in the initial Player, and that the issue has been fixed with the current releases… am I reading this correctly?

Thanks for link John, yes, you’re completely right. Problem is that my boss wants me to make project to run also in 9.0.16 in IE. So I’m trying figure it out, what exactly cause problem, and try to make “workaround”.
